This three-mile hike will take approximately 2½ hours, and will start at the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial (accessible by car or via a 10-minute walk from the Rosslyn Metro station). The group will hike around the edge of the Arlington National Cemetery to Memorial Avenue, cross down to the Mount Vernon Trail and walk up to Theodore Roosevelt Island and around to Rosslyn, and back to the starting point. Expect to learn a couple of things, too, as the ranger provides some perspectives on this unique and historic landscape of the George Washington memorial Parkway.
