In partnership with Monday Properties, the Rosslyn BID is excited to host a 2023 Economic Outlook: A Discussion on the Current Labor Market featuring Tom Barkin, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

The labor market remains incredibly tight. In this important conversation, Tom will discuss whether labor will continue to be in short supply, and what that could mean for the U.S. economy. Join us Friday, Feb. 17 at 8:30 a.m. at the 1812 N. Moore Conference Center for this opportunity to hear a unique perspective on current economic conditions and how it impacts the resiliency and future of our region’s businesses and community. Guest speaker U.S. Congressman Don Beyer, who served as the immediate past Chairman of Congress' Joint Economic Committee, will kick off the conversation ahead of the main program.

The Federal Reserve System comprises 12 regional banks, which each gather localized data and other information about the businesses and current economic conditions of communities within their regions. That information is used by Federal Reserve economists and staff to assess economic conditions and, ultimately, for Fed leaders to make monetary policy decisions.

Following the discussion, you’ll have the chance to participate in a live Q&A session.

A light continental breakfast will be provided ahead of the discussion. This event is free and open to the public, but requires registration prior to the event. This event has sold out, but you can still join the waitlist below!
