Prepare to immerse yourself in this one-of-a-kind event set against a breathtaking outdoor backdrop!
Join the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on May 5 for an unforgettable Freedom Concert at the Netherlands Carillon, overlooking Washington, D.C. This fourth edition of the concert marks a significant milestone – 80 years of freedom (*) – and promises an inspiring blend of music, history, and celebration.
Experience the stirring sounds of the Dutch Regimental Orchestra “Guards Grenadiers and Rifles,” in collaboration with the U.S. Army Band and Dutch singer Julia Schutten. Be moved by the majestic chimes of the carillon (Kevin Lieberman, Michelle Lam, Oliver MacDonald, and Liam Flood) and inspired by bestselling author Robert Edsel, who will share a remarkable story of Dutch-American friendship.
* This event takes place on the Netherlands’ Liberation Day. This year marks 80 years since the restoration of our freedom from occupation during World War II.
