Roller skating has a storied history in the U.S. Many believe that fun on eight wheels has been lost on American communities. This great American pastime was once considered an elegant social affair. From Frank Sinatra to Cher and Michael Jackson—most adults have special memories of roller skating growing up.
The Legends Gala taking place at The View of DC in Rosslyn is for roller skating enthusiasts or those who wish to watch and enjoy the style and dancing in a beautiful space. It's part of an entire Legends in the Sky weekend that begins with a welcome party, dinner and live entertainment on the 31st and 32nd floors of 1201 Wilson Blvd. that evening.
The next day, tour around Georgetown before heading to the DC Armory for the Epic Tail Gate Skate Celebration.
Sunday, enjoy a Smithsonian Brunch & Explore Experience at the National Museum of African American History & Culture.
