Balaclavas and Baklava: Make Your Own Winter Accessory Workshop

BikeArlington, WalkArlington, and Arlington Public Library invite you to join Balaclavas & Baklava, their signature Winter Accessory Workshop.
Participants will learn how to make their very own winter walk or bike accessory, from a warm ear cover to a full-head balaclava. These make a great gift or donation, and are also perfect for your own winter outdoor activities.
Materials provided:
- Step-by-step instructions to make a balaclava and ear cover/neck gaiter
- Downloadable templates
- Live tutorial
Materials to have on hand:
- 24”x16” piece of fleece (or other stretchy, cozy wicking fabric – not cotton) in the pattern of your choice. Note: one yard of standard-width (60 inches) fleece yields about 6 balaclavas or 10-15 ear covers/neck gaiters
- Sewing machine OR needle and a few feet of thread
- Scissors
- Straight pins or safety pins
- Marker or pen
Attendees will receive a discount code off baklava from Lebanese Taverna, and all skill levels are welcome. The event is free, but RSVPs are requested.
