The University of Virginia's Biocomplexity Institute, Data Science Institute and Darden School of Business, in partnership with the Northern Virginia Technology Council are hosting the Data Science for the Public Good (DSPG) Forum, comprised of a speaker series and annual symposium, which seek to show how data science can support evidence-based policymaking and innovation. The forum invites guests from the local, state and federal government, business, academics, students and the general public.
In its fourth year, the Data Science for the Public Good Annual Symposium will celebrate the Biocomplexity Institute’s 2019 Young Scholars and their research. Speakers include Phil Bourne, Director of the University of Virginia's Data Science Institute and Acting Dean of the School of Data Science, and Ron Jarmin, Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Census Bureau.
