Location

WalkArlington is an Arlington County Commuter Services (ACCS) program, a part of Arlington Department of Environmental Services. The program's mission is to educate people who travel in and around Arlington about the benefits of using active transportation: walking, biking, and rolling, which is central to Arlington’s vision of an equitable transportation system that enhances the overall quality of life for those who love, work, and play here.

Inspired by National Walking Day, WalkArlington’s Walking Palooza highlights the walkability, accessibility, and natural beauty of Arlington County through five free community walks that appeal to individuals with broad interests. Rosslyn area walks include the Theodore Roosevelt Island and Rosslyn Public Art!

Each walk will have a specific theme —nature and hiking, pizza tasting, walking with dogs, public art, and developments—to appeal to multiple unique audiences, including professionals, families, dog lovers, and people looking to connect with others in their community.

Walks will have 30 attendees each, and each location will have a check-in booth and event activation in a high foot-traffic area on a spring Saturday afternoon for additional engagement. These events are free and open to the public, but space is limited, so register for the walk of your choice!
