We had a few notable posts that you loved, including our annual April Fool’s Day post – which featured a slide down the Rosslyn Metro Station escalator – garnering over 267,000 impressions across social platforms.

In July, we also hit a milestone of 10,000 followers on Instagram, and we just reached 11,000 followers as the year concludes! Keep following along as we share even more exciting updates, events, and local highlights in 2025.

5 New Retailers

Burgers, espresso martinis, massages, and more? Yes please! In 2024, our neighborhood welcomed five

new retailers offering delicious bites, the perfect gift, or just a great place to enjoy a drink and relax.

  • For Five Coffee Roasters (1735 N. Lynn St.) – Modern spot for house-roasted specialty coffee, plus pastries and refined breakfast and lunch plates.
  • Upside on Moore (1700 N. Moore St.) – A vibrant food hall offering nine unique food and drink vendors, plus dynamic private event spaces.

  • Massage Life (1512 Clarendon Blvd.) – Massage spa offering a variety of massages, cupping, aromatherapy, and more.

514 New Apartment Homes

With this year’s completion of Rosslyn Towers at the Key, the 28-floor building at 1919 N. Nash Street, more people now call our neighborhood home!

This Dittmar development features 514 units ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments. Residents can enjoy numerous amenities, including a 10th-floor rooftop deck with a pool and panoramic views of Washington, D.C. and Virginia, a state-of-the-art fitness center, eight coworking spaces, and a game room.

Plus, even more is coming to this mixed-use development next year! We’re excited to welcome more visitors to the neighborhood as the developer rolls out a Hilton Hotel, Grab N’ Go convenience store, and on-site restaurant in 2025.

1,600+ Gateway Park Project Responses

The Gateway Park Project planning process kicked off in January, and the Rosslyn BID played a key role in Arlington County’s Master Planning & Visioning process for redesigning the park, helping position it as a world-class amenity and a central anchor for the Rosslyn community.

Through community engagements at our Solar Eclipse Viewing, Farmers Markets, and more, along with digital promotions, over 1,600 of you shared feedback on the park design this year — making it one of the Department of Parks and Recreation’s most successful engagement efforts to date.

Thanks to your valuable input and feedback, the team landed on a final draft concept with an emphasis on nature, safety, and a seamless balance between events and everyday use. Stay tuned — the Arlington County Board will review the proposed design at its December meeting, and we’re so excited to see this vision come to life!

2 HQ Relocation Announcements

In 2024, Rosslyn celebrated significant economic development milestones with some major relocation announcements. CoStar Group, a global leader in real estate analytics and online marketplaces, announced in February its purchase of Central Place Tower at 1201 Wilson Boulevard where they’ll occupy 150,000 square feet of commercial office space and employ 650 workers at the Rosslyn HQ.

But that’s not all! The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), which supports excellence in corporate governance, also announced its headquarters relocation to Rosslyn. These high-profile moves showcase Rosslyn's growing reputation as a premier destination for business innovation and community engagement.

8 Artists Showcased at Art Elevated

Drab wooden barriers, begone! In May, we helped beautify the construction site at the Rosslyn Metrorail Station into a canvas of creativity where customers and the community could enjoy the vibrant colors of nine creations from eight local artists. The initiative, titled Art Elevated, was created in collaboration with Metro’s Art in Transit Program, the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington and the Arlington Artists Alliance.

Sponsored by American Real Estate Partners and Rosslyn City Center, the pop-up art installation adorns the eight-foot construction panels surrounding the station’s entrance escalators. The series of artwork serves to enhance the visual appeal and customer experience inside the station while work is underway to replace the four escalators.

9,460 Helpful Ambassador Interactions

If you’ve ever taken a stroll around Rosslyn, you’re sure to have seen our purple-clad ambassadors offering a friendly face, directions, and other hospitality services. This year, they’ve provided 9,460 pedestrian interactions to those that live in, work in, and visit Rosslyn.

In addition to hospitality, our ambassadors provide crucial neighborhood services to keep our streets clean and safe, including trash collection, graffiti removal, power washing, snow shoveling, and more. Next time you’re out and about, make sure to say “hello” to the team that works hard to enhance Rosslyn’s street-level experience every day!
