Art Elevated at the Rosslyn Metro Station
The new Rosslyn initiative, Art Elevated, in collaboration with Metro's Art in Transit program, the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington and the Arlington Artists Alliance is a pop-up exhibit launched at the Rosslyn Metro Station, where customers and the community can enjoy the vibrant colors and creations of eight local artists. The project is sponsored by American Real Estate Partners and Rosslyn City Center, a premier property located above the metro.
The station is an important cornerstone of our neighborhood, serving as a key entryway to Rosslyn and an access point to the rest of the DMV region and beyond. The Rosslyn BID is excited to partner with Metro once again following a successful MetroLIVE collaboration earlier this year.
This beautification project aims to improve the Metro experience in Rosslyn during construction and infuse it with creativity and inspiration, turning the escalator replacement site into a canvas for local artistic expression.
At the street-level metro entrance, you can see local artist Johab Silva's captivating artwork, The Unbroken Stone No. 1-6, stretching across six construction panels.

At the top and bottom of the Metro escalator, artwork from seven Arlington Artists Alliance members are showcased on the panels.

Community members, Metro customers, and all passersby are encouraged to engage with the artwork, snap photos, and share on social media using #ArtInTransit, #RosslynVA, and #MoCAArlington.
