Rosslyn teams up with Columbia Pike and other BIDs & Partnerships for CPRO’s "Buy A Nurse Lunch" program!
The Rosslyn BID recently partnered with the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization (CPRO) and other Arlington County BIDs and Partnerships to continue CPRO’s "Buy A Nurse Lunch” program. The program, launched in April 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, has since raised over $60,000 for local restaurants and delivered over 4,300 meals to the frontline workers at Arlington Free Clinic, Arlington Pediatric Center, Mary Marshall Assisted Living and Virginia Hospital Center (VHC).
This summer, CPRO has continued the program to bring six weeks of free meals to VHC, beginning July 9 through August 13. On Friday, July 23, it was the Rosslyn BID’s turn to deliver lunches to VHC's nurses and staff. The BID’s Ambassador Team delivered a lunch of sandwiches and salads from Rosslyn’s AHRA Cafe & Sandwich Bar, a local favorite famous for their gourmet, hand crafted sandwiches (but we also highly recommend the breakfast burritos!).
Rosslyn is one of six BIDs and Partnerships taking part in this program, including CPRO, National Landing BID, Clarendon Alliance, Ballston BID and the Lee Highway Alliance. The Rosslyn BID was honored to participate in this meaningful program, and we want to thank CPRO for the opportunity. Check out photos from the day below!
