Dog Friendly Rosslyn

Located on the west end of Gateway Park, the dog park is the hot spot for Rosslyn dogs to gather and play! The park includes separate play areas for small and large dogs, a 5-foot-tall visual screening fence, a water source, waste bins, and plenty of benches to comfortably watch your pups.

A short walk from the heart of Rosslyn, the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial is a great spot to take in views of D.C. while getting some exercise with your dog, as well as the neighboring Netherlands Carillon. Pack a picnic and stay for the day, or make your way to other outdoor spaces in Rosslyn, like Dark Star Park!

What better way to motivate yourself for some daily exercise than a walk with your dog? With entrances just off of N. Lynn Street, the Mount Vernon and Custis Trails are the perfect place to enjoy a scenic walk or run. From there, make your way over to Theodore Roosevelt Island for a quick escape from the urban landscape that both you and Fido will love — just make sure your furry friend is on a leash less than six feet long.

Rosslyn is home to plenty of dining options with patios and outdoors spaces (weather permitting) to bring your pup along! Continental Beer Garden (seasonal), Open Road, Barley Mac, and Quinn’s on the Corner are among those with patio seating open to you and your dog.

For a treat to cool down you and your pup, check out South Block, which offers smoothies and acai bowls for humans, and a special puppy bowl for dogs with bananas and peanut butter.

Check out one of Rosslyn's pet gardens, conveniently located at N. Kent St. and 19th Street, and another off of Nash Street and Wilson Boulevard. Both locations offer green space, pet waste stations, and Adirondack chairs.
