Rosslyn’s week of giving
In recognition of those on the frontlines in the ongoing battle against COVID-19, the Rosslyn BID recently donated coffee and pastries from East West Coffee to a few of Rosslyn’s first responder groups. Beginning on Tuesday, April 28, East West delivered food donations to a different unit each day as a thank you for their tireless efforts.
The groups that received donations included the Arlington County Police Department, the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia Hospital Center and Arlington County Fire Station 10.
While the fight is far from over, we want these donations to serve as a small gesture of appreciation for the unrelenting efforts each of these groups have put forth during this time. Through these donations, the BID aims to shine a light on our friends in the Arlington County government, police and fire departments; and local healthcare professionals as they work to keep our neighborhood safe and informed.
At the BID, we’re still hard at work making sure you have the resources you need during these uncertain times. Recently, we announced a contribution of $100,000 in critical relief to Rosslyn small businesses as part of the Arlington County Small Business Emergency GRANT Program (Giving Resiliency Assets Near Term). The GRANT Program is designed to help small businesses, many of whom have been left behind in federal relief efforts.
We're also working closely with Arlington County officials, businesses and residents to provide important, continuously up-to-date resources. Through these efforts, it is our goal to support our community so that we all come out on the other side stronger than ever.
In case you missed it, we featured the business and retail heroes that are going above and beyond to support the Rosslyn community as we adapt to a new normal.
A huge thank you to East West for their help in making this all possible. If there are additional resources you would like to see on our COVID-19 landing page, please don’t hesitate to contact us at communications@rosslynva.org.
