(January 14, 2025) — The inaugural Cheerio Awards, presented by the Rosslyn Business Improvement District (BID), proudly recognize individuals, organizations, and businesses whose efforts have significantly enhanced the Rosslyn neighborhood. These contributions, whether big or small, bring cheer to those who live, work, and visit Rosslyn.

Arlington County Department of Transportation (DOT)
DOT has transformed the way people get around Rosslyn by engaging the community to install new protected bike lanes on N. Lynn Street. Their commitment to expanding transportation options and creating safer streets for people of all ages and abilities has made navigating our neighborhood more accessible and enjoyable. Yellowstone Landscape
Yellowstone has brought life to Rosslyn through exceptional seasonal landscaping, adding colorful touches that brighten our streets and enhance the urban experience. Their efforts include the installation of new planters, planting over 22,000 seasonal blooms and arranging 86 striking centerpieces. More than just a vendor, their team has been a true partner, stepping up to support seven Rosslyn BID events and finding creative solutions to beautify the neighborhood. We celebrate their contributions and look forward to future projects that will make Rosslyn even more vibrant and welcoming this year. Cheers to growing Rosslyn’s curbside appeal!
Cheers to the Best 21st Birthday Bash
Continental Pool Lounge
Rosslyn’s favorite modern pool lounge and beer garden celebrated its 21st birthday in style—because turning 21 is kind of a big deal! With creative anniversary promotions and specials, they gave everyone a reason to "cheers.” Beyond the celebrations, Continental continues to be a fan favorite happy hour destination and energizes the neighborhood by hosting events for the BID, community partners, and businesses. Cheers to 21 years of making Rosslyn a fun place to celebrate—and here’s to many more!
Cheers to Champions of Clean and Welcoming
Rosslyn BID Ambassadors
Our incredible ambassador team goes above and beyond every day to make Rosslyn a clean, welcoming, and beautiful neighborhood. From wayfinding and hospitality services that enhance the pedestrian experience to assisting with homeless outreach and supporting our growing residential population six days a week. In 2024, their impressive accomplishments included collecting over 200,000 pounds of trash and 66,000 pounds of recyclables, assisting 5,071 people with directions, and contributing to every major Rosslyn BID event. Cheers to representing the Rosslyn brand with purple pride and helping make our neighborhood a place for everyone to enjoy!
Cheers to Knockout Fitness Events
Bash Boxing, Rosslyn
Bash Boxing has elevated wellness in Rosslyn, collaborating with the Rosslyn BID to co-host knockout events and creatively themed classes that energize the community. From “Zen in the City” to “March Movement” and a Taylor Swift-themed workout held during the same week as the Rosslyn Live cover band, they’ve blended fitness with fun. Their innovative approach to wellness continues to inspire and bring excitement to Rosslyn, and we look forward to more collaboration in the future. Cheers to keeping Rosslyn active and on our toes!
Award criteria focused on projects or initiatives that have made Rosslyn a better place to be. Eligible activities took place between January 1 and December 31, 2024, and directly benefited the Rosslyn neighborhood.
