Rosslyn BID Announces New Spring Flower Markets as Part of “Rosslyn Refresh”
April Showers Bring May Flowers to Rosslyn Saturdays April 24 - May 8
Roses are red, violets are blue, if you’re looking for fresh flowers, Rosslyn is here for you! With spring in full bloom, the Rosslyn BID is continuing “Rosslyn Refresh” with a series of outdoor flower markets and virtual events! Rosslyn Flower Market will bring local plant, herb, and flower vendors to Central Place Plaza every Saturday, April 24 - May 8 from 11 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The market will also host local snack and home goods vendors Bethany Slater Ceramics, Joyful Bath co., and Boso Kitchen.
The series doesn’t end after your stop at the market! Join coordinating-themed virtual workshops each week, including plant care basics with Rewild, an herb-filled cocktail demonstration by Salt Restaurant, and Mother’s Day floral arranging with Blue Ribbon Floral Truck! And don’t miss out on exciting giveaways like local restaurant gift cards and extra florals from the Rosslyn Flower Cart on April 22, April 29, May 5, and May 6. The cart will be stationed outside Rosslyn restaurants Open Road, Barley Mac, Continental Beer Garden, and Sfoglina. The first 50 guests who dine at a Rosslyn restaurant before coming to the Flower Market will receive a special gift at the market by showing their receipt.
Rosslyn Refresh is the BID’s most recent campaign focused on helping Rosslyn’s residents, employees, and visitors safely get outside with events and opportunities in Rosslyn. With the return of O2: Outdoor Office, over 50 miles of trails and verdant public parks including a brand-new dog park, a staycation series, and more, Rosslyn is bringing fresh air and added color to Spring!

Plant Care Basics with Rewild: Pick up your plant starter kit from Rewild’s booth at the flower market and tune into a virtual Plant Care Basics Class. Snap a pic and post on social media for folks to see the newest addition to your home! Tickets will be available for $19/each and will include a Rewild plant care basics kit and access to the online tutorial.

Grow Your Own Cocktail Class with Salt: To get ready for the second weekend of Rosslyn Flower Market, join the bartender crew from Salt for a virtual cocktail demonstration with a special focus on herbs in cocktails on April 29! Participants can choose between two cocktails to mix for themselves at home, and each kit includes enough ingredients to make four cocktails. The demonstration is free, but if you would like to follow along with the bartender’s specific ingredients, you will need to purchase and pick up your kit directly from Salt!

Mother’s Day Flower Arranging Class with the Blue Ribbon Floral Truck: Visit The Rosslyn Flower Market on May 8 to pick up your very own special flower arranging kit courtesy of the Blue Ribbon Floral Truck. Tune into a live virtual flower arranging class on May 9 with Ali from the Blue Ribbon Floral Truck to teach you all about floral arrangement. Tickets will be available for $35/each and will include a beautiful, fresh un-arranged bouquet of flowers and a vase and access to the live tutorial.

To maintain the county's health and safety guidelines all guests will be required to follow all current guidelines regarding COVID-19, social distancing and face masks. Tickets will be issued in 1-hour time slots to allow for social distancing. No more than 40 people will be permitted during each 1-hour window. Registration in advance is highly encouraged but not required. Walk-ups are welcome and will need to sign a waiver at check-in.
