Fire Station #10 is part of The Highlands development, a culmination of years long efforts to deliver a new school, transportation network improvements, parks and open space, affordable housing, retail, and new residential space.

Fire Lines by David & Eli Hess

As part of the project, artists David and Eli Hess were commissioned to develop a site-specific work of public art for the façade of the station. Inspired by the history and function of the station, the design consists of a larger-than-life bronze fire hose nozzle with twisting spirals of stainless steel representing a powerful spray of water that will be illuminated at night. The sculpture is designed to be a beacon honoring the fire department and reflecting its long-standing work in the surrounding community while enhancing the public space within The Highlands.
