The Sycamore School is an independent school Serving 5th through 12th grades in Northern Virginia. It embraces an urban campus model, where students learn to utilize community resources to augment and enhance their learning experience. Located in the heart of Rosslyn, they are accessible to metro/public transportation and walking distance to 10 parks. Students and staff are encouraged to utilize public transportation, walk or bike to school. The building provides bike racks and lockers, so that bike riders have a secure place to store their bikes.

TSS identifies students’ individual learning strengths, needs, and interests and adapts lessons to match them.

Traditional school settings are structured around rigid time allocations and fixed student groups based primarily by age. The Sycamore School Offers Mastery-Based Learning, Personalized Education, and Self-Discovery.
